Orthodontics in Lviv — bite correction
Rhodium-coated self-ligating braces, clear aligners and removable appliances; separately — TMJ dysfunction.
Orthodontics corrects crowding, gaps, and the bite. At Dental Story we diagnose first, then choose: metal or ceramic braces, or clear aligners. We do not force complex cases into trays just because that sounds more modern. We also treat temporomandibular joint (TMJ) dysfunction: diagnosis, muscle-relaxation (occlusal) splints, deprogrammers and appliance therapy when indicated.
Why orthodontics at Dental Story
Systems matched to the case
Rhodium-coated self-ligating braces, clear aligners and removable appliances — compared on your plan: timeline, hygiene, appearance and cost.
Digital diagnostics
Scan, images, and a bite assessment before you start — so we do not switch systems halfway.
Teens and adults
Classic systems once permanent teeth have erupted; adults have no age limit.
TMJ dysfunction
A dedicated orthodontic track: joint assessment, muscle-relaxation (occlusal) splints and deprogrammers when there is pain, clicking or tension.

Orthodontic consult
Exam, complaints, expectations — and whether correction is needed now.

- 3
Choosing a system
Braces or aligners, stages, and an agreed estimate before you start.
- 4
Treatment and retention
Adjustments on schedule; after removal — retainers so teeth do not drift back.
Orthodontics FAQ
Braces or aligners?
Aligners are easier day to day and less noticeable. Braces are more reliable in complex bite problems. We decide after diagnostics, not from a brand ad.
How long does bite correction take?
Usually from 6 months in simple cases to 2 years in complex ones. The orthodontist gives a timeline after the plan.
Can adults correct a bite?
Yes. Teeth move more slowly in adults, but most crowding and gaps can be treated. The limit is gum and tooth health, not your age.
Does it hurt?
Bonding usually doesn't hurt. For a few days after an adjustment or a new tray teeth may ache — that is normal; we'll advise how to ease it.
What if I stop and skip the retainer?
Teeth have memory and partly return. Retention is part of treatment, not an extra for perfectionists.
