Braces FAQ
How long do people wear braces?
Usually 12–24 months. The exact time comes after diagnostics and depends on the bite.
Braces or aligners?
Aligners are easier day-to-day and less noticeable. Braces are more reliable in complex cases. We decide after an exam, not from an ad.
Does bonding or wearing them hurt?
Bonding usually doesn't hurt. Teeth may ache for a few days after an adjustment — normal, and ordinary painkillers help.
From what age?
Classic systems once permanent teeth have erupted, usually 11–13. Adults have no age limit.
Food and sport?
Avoid very hard and sticky food. For contact sport we recommend a mouthguard. You get a full list on bonding day.
