A take-home system is not supermarket strips. The dentist takes an impression, trays are made to your teeth, and you wear the gel on a schedule. It suits a gentle lighten or a top-up after in-chair whitening.

Why clinic trays, not strips

Custom trays

The gel stays on enamel and does not run onto the gums — unlike one-size strips.

A dentist in charge

Concentration and schedule after an exam. Decay or exposed necks — we treat first.

Gentler than in-chair

Lightening is spread over days and weeks: easier if your teeth are sensitive.

Holds an in-chair result

After office whitening, a home system keeps the shade longer between visits.

How you get a home system

  1. 1

    Exam and hygiene

We do not bleach over plaque or decay. A clean and an enamel check first.

  2. 2

    Impression or scan

We capture the shape of your teeth for custom trays.

  3. 3

    Trays and gel

We issue the kit and write how many hours to wear it and when to come back.

  4. 4

    Shade check

At review we look at the result and sensitivity — and adjust the schedule if needed.

Take-home whitening FAQ

How is this different from in-chair whitening?

In the chair the gel is stronger and you see a result in one visit. At home the concentration is lower and wear time is longer. We often combine them: in-chair to start, trays to hold the shade.

Why not buy strips in a shop?

Strips do not follow tooth shape, gel hits the gums, and the result is uneven. Clinic trays fit tightly, and the dentist sees whether whitening is even allowed.

How long is the course?

Usually from a few days to two weeks, depending on the gel and the starting colour. The exact schedule comes with the kit.

Does the gel damage enamel?

Not at the right concentration on intact teeth. We do not issue a system if there is decay, cracks, or strong sensitivity without preparation.

Do fillings and crowns whiten?

No. Artificial materials do not change colour. Sometimes they need replacing to match the new enamel shade.
